Super Dork: Super Sentai, Anime, and Cosplay

I watched the first episode of the live action Titans show and I must say I am very impressed. The cinematography was amazing, the fight choreography was phenomenal, and a little too dark and bloody in some parts, but also light-hearted and fun. Robin's costume was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to cosplay it although it will most likely burn a hole in my wallet... COSPLAY IS EXPENSIVE, especially if you wanna look good. I thought this show wouldn't be so good, but it proved me wrong, and I am very happy about that, I cannot wait to see the whole team together as the episodes progress!

WELL. Here we go, a video game review, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 released last week and I must say I feel a bit nostalgic. I am pretty sure a few of you have played the original and liked it and wasn't too found of number three, but this one will take you back but also bring something new to the table. First of all 50 GB of space just to install it, wowwww, that is awesome. The Multiplayer, if you missed the maps from black ops one or two, get ready to take a trip down memory lane cause a few of those fan favorites are included in this release. The multiplayer has a few new mechanics to show off, for one, you can just regenerate health automatically anymore, you have to self-heal, they took away the stupid mech suits that made you jump all over the place, although I must say, there are not any really interesting guns this time.        Then we have the Blackout Battle Royale mode, which I must say, not bad. and Zombie mode... HOOOOO BOY, I feel like I am playing ...

So, I was able to watch the Venom movie with my father, and it actually wasn't that bad... They got the characters correct and the relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom correct. The only reason in my opinion that it felt out of place was because of the lack of Spider-man. As stated in my previous post, Venom only came to be after Spider-man rejected the symbiote. But for a standalone Venom movie I give it a solid 7/10, the cgi seemed a bit "half-assed" during one of the fight scenes and the beginning was somewhat slow. Other than that, I very much do recommend that you see this movie, it will surely entertain you.  

So.... Venom came out yesterday in parts of the world... According to rotten tomatoes, it was 29% rotten, like very bad. Venom is a Marvel Comics character first created after Spider-man had the black costume for a while and was slightly introduced in The Amazing Spider-man #252 back in May of 1984 and the symbiote was referred to as "The Alien Costume." Venom finally made his official debut when Spider-man rejected the symbiote and it bonded to Eddie Brock in The Amazing Spider-man #300 in May of 1988. He was introduced as a villain and slowly became an anti-hero over the years, after Spidey rejected him, the symbiote was angry at him and just wanted him back (sounds like a hectic relationship) and fused with Brock to taunt Spider-man and do whatever it wanted, Eddie Brock on the other hand had beef with Peter Parker which was the main reason he wanted to bond with the symbiote. So I have been feeling a little iffy on the Venom movie that is coming out. It is like, I don't know what to expect, like, it may be bad or it may be good. But, I feel that it is just plain weird due to the lack of a Spider-man. Now, Venom himself looks really really good, the design for him I mean, the CGI looks kinda bad though, the poster looks badly photoshopped and it is making me question it. I am going to be seeing it regardless because of my love for the character.   I honestly feel that they will do a decent job, can't wait to see how it goes. I was hoping for an "R" rating for the movie as it fits the character, but, we got PG-13 BOIS. DEAR GOD. GOOD LUCK. ANYWAY, I will make an update of the Venom stuff after the movie comes out so.... SO. Funny things have been going on in my life and I have been rewatching "Kaizoku Sentai: Gokaiger" with a few friends of mine. And, well... I REALLY WANT TO COSPLAY FROM IT! Like holy moly this show was my top favorite and it was awesome. This show was 50 episodes and 2 or 3 movies, the action was great, the humor was great, the characters had a lot of personality which was amazing. The Power Rangers counter-part can't even compare or compete with it. Now, cosplaying from this show, will be very expensive... I was researching it one night cause the friends I watch it with and I wanna do a group cosplay from it. The full on Sentai suits (helmet, undersuit, jacket, boots, gloves, and belt) costs $950 total. HOOO BOY! We are gonna have to save up for that, so we came up with a plan. We will first buy our morphers, then we buy the normal outfits for Gokai Red, Pink, and Silver, then we save up to do the actual outfits later. Trust me though, these outfits are worth it!
